M E Fuller

ME Fuller

Fuller is an emerging, self-taught visual artist. For over 30 years she worked as a graphic designer and art director in Minneapolis, MN. In 2019, after 16 years in the Brainerd Lakes area, Fuller moved to Montevideo, MN where she currently works from her home studio.

In 2021 she received emerging artist grant support from the Southwest Minnesota Regional Arts Council (SMAC) and turned her artistic practice to abstract expressionism. Loving both the Northwoods and prairie, Fuller’s recent work often represents landscapes experienced in both regions of the state.

Artist Statement
M E Fuller paints energetic landscapes/mindscapes and other forms in the style of abstract expressionism. Her work is intuitive and depicts movement and sensations experienced through the act of creating art. Fuller uses acrylic inks, pencils, charcoal, and other mark-making tools for gestural marks that allow her to move into the painting. This follows with applications of acrylic color layers and textural marks that help define the subject and blend elements into a cohesive visual experience.

M E Fuller is an author, workshop facilitator, and writing coach at mefullerwords.com and the Southwest Minnesota Regional Arts Council Board representative for Chippewa County, MN.
